information and support to families regarding all aspects of family life impacted by autism, such as education, therapies, community inclusion, and support groups in order to empower them to make informed choices. I provide ABA services, home and school behavioral supports (including school observations and attending IEP meetings) and staff and family training. I can offer over twenty-seven years of experience working with children and adults with special needs and their families in a variety of capacities. I will be responsive to concerns and desires of the family members, respecting the dignity, knowledge and expertise of the families. I prefer a team approach and I will maintain contact with other agencies and organizations, recognizing their value as sources of information. I strive to empower families to raise their children to become full members of their communities and to become functionally independent and effectively interdependent, so that they are valued as gifted people and protected from harm.
