Excel is a powerful tool with many facets which can make your work tasks easier and faster. Many businesses suffer through unnecessary time and labor spent working to manually update spreadsheets when automation is a better answer.

Here is one example of how automation saved the day.

This project required the user to be able to publish via email attachment an Excel based report built with a total company perspective to each of the 50+ individual markets/divisions containing only their specific information.

They had been doing this task manually requiring about 4 hours per week of manually repeating the required steps over and over again until all 50+ emails were sent.

I built a custom macro which separated the national version of this report by market/division, created a new file which was then attached to a new email sent to the designated recipients within each market/division.

The tool saved the user multiple hours by automating a tedious manual task, improving efficiency and saving money. The user simply clicks the button once the data in the report has been refreshed.
