Last night’s “TASTE OF ASIA - VEGAN CUISINE” event wasn’t just about food.
It was about COMMUNITY & Cultural Fusion & Education.
Families, old friends, and new friends came together to learn, share, and celebrate our diverse backgrounds.
Our incredible instructors, from different ethnicities, guided us through the process of creating delicious Asian vegan dishes.

Food truly has a power to bring people together. As we cooked, ate, and laughed, we discussed collaboration, community, and the importance of embracing our differences. Together, we wove a vibrant tapestry of cultures.

- and that fruit was Rambutan, originally from Indonesia 🇮🇩

Last night, we had a blast at our “TASTE OF ASIA - VEGAN CUISINE” event! 🌱
Over 25 enthusiastic participants joined us to learn how to make delicious vegan dishes like Vietnamese spring rolls, Korean japchae, Thai coconut jello and refreshing tropical fruits icy drink.
We couldn’t have done it without the support of our amazing volunteers and partners, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and Mecklenburg County Parks & Recs.
A big shoutout to Super G Mart for providing us with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Together, we celebrated the diversity of Asian cuisine and created a wonderful community experience.
