Fear keeps you stuck. Small steps toward healing set you free. Which fear are you letting go of today?

10/16/2024

For four years after being diagnosed with IBD, I struggled with fatigue, abdominal pain, food sensitivities, and more.

I was gaining weight as a result of not being able to exercise. I was frustrated that I couldn’t relieve stress through running or tennis like I used to. I did NOT feel at home in my body.

After years of trying various eating plans, alternative therapies, and adjusting my exercise routine, I saw improvement but still couldn’t kick the last of my symptoms.

Then, I discovered one last strategy that I hadn’t yet tried. I embarked on a more personalized, targeted gut-healing protocol, and it made all the difference!

Now I have lost the last few stubborn pounds, I do my favorite workouts 4 days a week (without the lengthy recovery time), and am able to tolerate a wider range of foods!

I feel like myself again. I’m more comfortable in my body, have a healthier social life, and enjoy my favorite activities without fear of flares.

💡 How did I do it? Here are 3 lessons I wish someone had shared with me when I was struggling:

1. Don’t underestimate the importance of prebiotics. They are vital to supporting the probiotics you are likely already taking.

2. Find the right gut test. There are particular markers that indicate the health of your gut, as well as indicate other issues that might be contributing to your IBD. It’s important to see the right data so you can create a strategy that will address the actual issues.

3. Don’t give up! If you don’t feel “right,” you don’t have to live in this state. You know your body. You know what feels good. If there’s more work to be done, keep going.

✨ If I can finally overcome my life-altering symptoms through lifestyle and gut-healing protocols, then I believe you can too. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it!

When I was battling IBD, I thought I could get away with six hours of sleep and still heal, but I learned the hard way—poor sleep is a silent killer for gut health.

It wasn’t until I started focusing on quality sleep that I saw my inflammation drop, my energy soar, and my symptoms ease.

Here’s the truth: you can be eating all the anti-inflammatory foods in the world, but if you’re skipping on sleep, you’re fighting an uphill battle.

Sleep is when your body gets a chance to repair, regulate inflammation, and restore gut lining—something you can’t afford to skip if you’re healing from IBD.

But here’s the kicker— it’s not just about how long you sleep, it’s about what happens during that sleep.

Here are three game-changing tips:

1️⃣ Make sure you’re asleep by 10 PM (your gut loves that timing)

2️⃣ Keep your room cool (around 65-69°F) a

3️⃣ Avoid screen time an hour before bed (blue light messes with your melatonin production and hinders sleep).

When I made these simple changes, my healing sped up—my gut felt calmer, my bloating reduced, and I stopped waking up feeling exhausted.

You don’t have to overhaul your life, just start with one of these tonight, and trust me—you’ll feel the difference tomorrow morning.

Sleep isn’t just rest, it’s the foundation of healing—especially when it comes to IBD.

Managing IBD can feel like a full-time job, but what if I told you it doesn’t have to be?

When I first started my healing journey, I was constantly overwhelmed—trying to keep up with meal prep, supplements, stress reduction, and self-care felt like too much.

But once I built a few simple systems, my stress levels went way down, and I finally felt like I had control over my health again.

☀️ One of the best things I’ve done is create a simple morning routine.

I started getting up 15-30 minutes earlier in order to have some “me time” - yoga, meditation, red light therapy, or reading - to set the tone for calm, focused energy.

🥗 I created a weekly meal planning system.

I used to stress about what to eat, but now I set aside time to plan my meals, grocery shop, and prep ingredients—this keeps me on track with my gut-friendly diet and reduces the temptation to grab something that will trigger symptoms.

🗓️ I set up a supplement routine by organizing everything into daily pill organizers.

It may sound small, but not having to think about “did I take this today?” has saved me so much mental energy.

📦 I rely on auto-replenishment for supplements and key health products.

I set up automatic deliveries for my must-haves like probiotics and supplements so I never run out, removing one more thing from my mental to-do list.

📓I established a tracking system for symptoms.

If I’m experiencing a flare or trying a new protocol, I use a simple journal to jot down what I ate, how I’m feeling, and any triggers I noticed—this way, I can spot patterns without guessing what’s causing my flare-ups.

🌿

By creating these systems, I’ve been able to reduce the daily stress of managing IBD, freeing up more time and energy to focus on feeling my best.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, start by implementing just one of these systems.

You’ll be amazed at how much easier life gets when you remove the guesswork from your health routine! 10/08/2024

💥 Imagine this: You’re one step away from the healthiest, most vibrant version of YOU… And that version of you? They don’t just manage IBD. They THRIVE beyond it. 🌱

Here’s the truth: healing isn’t just about what’s on your plate or what supplements you’re taking (although, yes, those are important). It’s about choosing, every day, to prioritize YOU.

I know it’s hard right now. I’ve been there. Waking up feeling like you’re stuck in a body that’s not cooperating is frustrating. Some days, it feels like the fight to reach remission is endless. You’ve tried so many things—some worked, some didn’t. And maybe you’re wondering if this is just the way things will be.

But here’s the thing—we don’t settle. We’re the ones who keep pushing for a better way. A way where health, energy, and joy aren’t goals but givens. ✨

When I was told I’d have to rely on medication forever, I couldn’t accept it. It felt wrong to me—like I wasn’t meant to live my life shackled to a prescription. So, I dug deep, went holistic, and trusted that if I took care of my body in the right ways, it would heal. And it did. 🙌

That’s what we do here. We push past limits. We challenge what’s “normal.” We heal from the inside out.

Every step you take in prioritizing your health is a step toward remission. Whether it’s calming your stress levels with a simple walk or fueling your body with anti-inflammatory foods, every action matters. You are stronger than you think. And you have what it takes to create a life free from the grip of IBD.

Now, I want to know—are you with me on this journey? Are you ready to be that unstoppable version of yourself? 💪

Drop a “YES, I’M IN” below if you’re ready to keep going, even when the road gets tough. Let’s do this together. We’re all in this fight to heal naturally. 🌿✨

**If diet is so crucial to healing IBD, how did I eat gluten and dairy without triggering a major flare? 🤔**

I know what you’re thinking—how can someone with IBD eat croissants, ice cream, and pizza *without* suffering the consequences? 🍕🍦🥐

Here’s the thing: it’s not just *what* I ate, but *how* I lived during that time that made all the difference.

While vacationing in France, I was in a completely different environment—one that naturally supported my gut health in ways that go beyond food.

✨ **Low stress:** I was truly relaxed, soaking in each moment instead of rushing from task to task. My body wasn’t in a constant state of fight-or-flight.

🍽️ **Leisurely meals:** I didn’t just grab a bite and run. Each meal was enjoyed slowly, surrounded by good company, which helped my digestion stay calm and steady.

🚶‍♀️ **Lots of walking:** We spent hours walking every day. Gentle movement after meals is incredibly powerful for digestion and keeping inflammation down.

🌳 **Outdoor time:** Most of my time was spent outside, soaking up fresh air and sunshine, which helped regulate my nervous system and keep my stress levels low.

💬 **Connection:** I spent quality time with my mom, enjoying meaningful conversations, which made me feel grounded and connected—also important for gut health.

🧑‍🔬 **Staying on my gut health protocol:** Even though I indulged, I stayed consistent with my gut-healing regimen, which gave my body extra support.

IBD healing isn’t just about following a rigid diet—it’s about creating an overall lifestyle that supports your body’s ability to heal. 🙌

The magic isn’t in perfection—it’s in balance. 🌿

If you’re working on healing your gut, don’t forget to look at the big picture. Stress, movement, connection, and mindset all matter just as much as what’s on your plate. 💚
