Historic 1815 house and grounds which includes gardens and recreated blacksmith shop. Historic Rosedale shares the story of the free and enslaved families who lived and labored here. Open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and most Saturdays. Additional fee for guided tours of house. Come bring the family and perhaps even a picnic lunch! Join us for Juneteenth at Historic Rosedale! On Saturday, June 20th, we’re honoring freedom, resilience, and community with a day of reflection, storytelling, and celebration on our historic grounds. Featured speakers and performers include Deacon Mary B. Starnes, Drums 4 Life drum circle, Moving Spirits, Inc. dance company, and Poet Laureate Jay Ward. This event is FREE and open to the public (guided house tours will be available separately for the general tour fee).
