Q&A with Brent Vinson at Knotts Builders. Brent chose residential construction after a career in law enforcement. Why pursue residential construction industry?
“I wanted a career that would challenge me every day. I enjoy problem solving; in residential construction you are problem solving every single day. I wanted a career where no two days are the same; residential construction affords me this luxury. There are so many opportunities to learn and grow in residential construction. I knew I needed to be in a career where I could learn and have opportunities for growth.”

What do you love most about your job?
“It is such a gratifying feeling when you hand those keys over to the new homeowner. Another aspect I love about my job is the relationships you build, whether it is with the trade partners, customer, or co-workers.”
