To determine if floodwaters or another cause of loss is responsible for electronic equipment included in a flood claim, adjusters must answer these questions:

• Was the item fully submerged or only partially wet?
• Which components came into contact with water?
• What type of water were the items exposed to?
• What was the duration of exposure?
• Are there other potential sources of water than flood?
• What was its pre-loss condition?
