This is what Finn•Santo looks like behind the scenes. If you’ve shopped with us at any of the markets last fall, you’ve probably seen him hanging close by and keeping me company when it gets quiet. He lets our inventory take over half of the garage, which is his favorite space in the house. He deals with me while I ride this small business emotional roller coaster.



On my personal page I have a bigger mouth, I’m more vocal about what I see is wrong in the world. My silence on my business page is usually rooted unwillingness to take the mental space to post twice or fear it will come across opportunistic.
But this situation is worth it. Maybe because my algorithm is different on this side, but it feels like fewer people are talking about it. And I believe it’s cowardly to be strong and loud personally but then hide behind fear of financial impact on your business. If you have an issue with Finn•Santo taking a firm stand on , that’s more a reflection on you than it is on my business. If you feel uncomfortable talking about it as a business person, you should, uncomfortable is what moves us forward. People need to know you stand with them. And if that alienates customers, are those the people you want representing your brand anyway?
