Fabricators are advised to exercise caution when referencing specifications online, as Google's results may not always be accurate. A recent inquiry involved a individual seeking guidance on tubing size for an SFI 47.1 roll cage, who disputed the correct specifications of 2" .120 DOM or 2" .095 chrome moly, citing a Google search result indicating 1.5" and thinner tube. Upon further investigation, the individual was informed that the Google search result was incorrect. It is recommended that those constructing a roll cage for the first time obtain the specifications directly

to ensure accuracy.
The screenshot of the erroneous Google search result serves as a reminder to verify information through reputable sources.
The following is not correct
Question:
Has the turbo rule on the SF class changed?
I saw this on NYTPA’s page:
Attention all super farm competitors. We have have been informed that the turbo inspection process has changed. This change has affected many turbos that were run and now are failing inspection. We will be checking turbos at our first event and through out the year. If you would like yours checked pre season please reach out to Jeff Galley to set up a time to do so.
Answer:
No, the Super Farm turbo rule hasn’t changed.
I believe they’re going to measure the 3” inlet and 3” outlet more closely.
Question:
I have a question regarding the cubic inch variance of 1% for wear and tear. If there is not visible wear and tear on the engine ie a brand new build and it is over the cubic inch limit does the 1% variance still apply
