Feeling overwhelmed by all the design decisions in your home? From paint colors and countertops to furniture, fabrics, and lighting, knowing what to choose and how it all works together can quickly become overwhelming.
That’s where Striped Lemon Design comes in. We guide our clients through every decision, creating a clear vision and cohesive plan that takes the guesswork out of the process.
A completed project is the culmination of countless thoughtful decisions. As our community continues to grow, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. I’m Andrea, Founder and Principal Designer of Striped Lemon Design.
My love for interiors started long before this business. I grew up inspired by my mother and grandmother, who taught me that a home should feel welcoming, layered, and deeply personal. What began as a passion for creating beautiful spaces eventually grew into the business I’m so grateful to lead today.
After moving to Charleston, I fell even more in love with creating homes that reflect the relaxed elegance of Lowcountry living, where life feels centered around gathering, entertaining, and slowing down with the people you love most.
Today, we specialize in creating refined yet livable homes that feel customized and personal to every client. I’m so thankful you’re here following along with our projects, inspiration, and everyday moments.

Some of the most meaningful spaces come together when we reimagine pieces our clients already love and layer them with fresh details that completely transform the feeling of the room.
For this dining room, we lacquered our client’s existing console in a rich blue and updated the hardware for a more refined look. We paired it with a bone inlay mirror and rechargeable sconces to create a focal wall, added patterned grasscloth wallpaper for color and texture, and brought in custom roman shades to soften the space. Even the existing dining chairs were reupholstered to give them an entirely new life.
The result feels layered, collected, and personal, which is always the goal. A home should feel beautifully designed, but it should also still feel like you.
Layering pattern, texture, and color is one of my favorite ways to make a room feel collected, comfortable, and thoughtfully lived in.
For this bedroom, we brought in custom pillows in a beautiful Raoul fabric with the pattern repeat deliberately placed for a tailored, custom feel. We upholstered the chair in a beautiful coordinating Kravet fabric for the perfect finishing touch.

My favorite time of the year! When the weather warms up here in Charleston, everyday living moves outside. When designing any of our outdoor spaces, we treat them with the same intention as the interiors, layered, comfortable, and designed for lingering. Porches like this become a true extension of the home, where outdoor living feels just as inviting as indoors.

A weekend full of sourcing, sitting, swiveling, testing, reclining… and mentally placing everything in future projects. Equal parts work and play, with fresh finds, layered textures, and pieces we already can’t wait to bring home. Until next time, High Point Market!

Proof that one thoughtful change can completely transform how a space lives.
When our client moved in, this room was anchored by a built-in wine rack that limited how it could be used day to day. Beautiful in theory, but not aligned with how they wanted to live, so we reimagined it entirely.
Out went the wine storage, making room for a fully functional office. We replaced the heavy gray walls with a fresh, layered palette… crisp white, soft green trim, and a hint of wallpaper for texture and personality. Now, it supports real life.
