Self care. Are we all sick of hearing about this yet?! 🤣
This quote really resonates with me, and I’m posting more for myself than anything. I think we can all agree that 2020 has been real weird to say the least. It’s brought our anxieties and insecurities front and center to our everyday lives. We find ourselves out of work, shut down, sequestered to our homes, fearful of everything. Fear is a silent killer of dreams, hopes, positivity, and aspirations. It’s that annoying little nagging voice inside our heads telling us we’re not worthy, we can’t do it, and we’re stupid for trying.
After reading this quote over and over again, it made me think that self care is no longer an “indulgence”, it’s a mf’ing necessity. It’s a vehicle in which we cast away that negative self talk, and engage in reclaiming ourselves, our power, and our unbelievable strength. No matter what self care looks like for you; yoga, painting, binging a favorite show, meditation, baking, etc...do it. And do it unapologetically.
I struggle with taking time for myself to focus on my hobbies, it feels selfish, and I fee guilty as a result. As of today, I am going to work on changing that. I’m going to flip the script in my head, slowly but surely. I do believe that it will spill over into my business, my side hustles, and my personal life in how I approach challenges, too. 💕
Drop me a comment below to keep the convo going! I genuinely want to know what everyone does for self care, and how it affects the facets of your lives! 🥰

Good morning 🌞!
Let’s talk about routine. Specifically skincare routines at home. The products you use, and how/when you use them, is a crucial component to really seeing lasting results between appointments.
Getting a facial every 4-6 weeks, or just once in awhile, without having a solid home care routine, is probably not going to yield the results you want, and will leave you frustrated. Just as having a home care routine, without professional treatments in between, will have the same effects. The two work synergistically together. This is where you’ll really see the transformations happen!
Starting a home care routine can seem daunting. I get it! There’s a lot of info out there and it gets overwhelming quickly. Plus, we all have busy lives and we don’t always have 15-20 minutes 2x/day to spend on ourselves (we should, it’s important, but not always realistic).
So I like to use the KISS method: Keep It Super Simple (There’s another way to say that but it’s not the nicest acronym lol)! If you use effective products you won’t need to spend more than 5-7 minutes on your skin. For example, a nighttime routine might look like: Remove makeup, cleanse, tone, serum, moisturizer, and done! Morning routine: wet face with warm water only (no cleanser), tone, serum, SPF moisturizer (A MUST!!), makeup (if needed), and that’s it! Pretty simple, quick, easy, and effective! Obviously everyone is different and certain skin issues may warrant a more comprehensive routine, but you get the gist! Incorporate this into your getting ready schedule and it will be a routine/habit in no time. 😊
And most importantly...wash those hands before anything goes on your skin!! 😜
