The Brigadier

This weekend was unlike any normal weekend we have here at The Citadel. It included the k***s being promoted from cadet recruits to cadet privates, the usual Parents Weekend football game, and open barracks for all parents to explore. But most importantly the Class of 2023 received their class rings. Quite a jam packed weekend full of activities and many congratulations are in order for The Citadel cadets for their achievements thus far into the Fall 2022 semester. Keep on pushing forward and God Bless The Citadel.

We are back and so are the cadets! Leadership and cadre have returned to campus a week prior in order to prepare for the Class of 2026 who arrived this past Saturday. The new k***s have been keeping busy with haircuts, measurements for uniforms, and learning how to drill. It only gets harder from here. Good luck to the Class of 2026, and godspeed! It’s a long 9 months as they say.

And just like that, the Class of 2022 is done.

After 4 years of pain, adversity, sacrifice, and tribulations, it is time now to hand the reins down and let go. Go out into the world and change it for the better. Thank you for setting the standard for us and we promise to never forget all the hard work you put into The Citadel. Many goodbyes were said, but even more new beginnings have been created and we wish the entire Class of 2022 good luck.

As General Walters said, “Class of 2022…Dismissed!”
