You'll hear clips from Ginny Hawker, the 2024 Vandalia Award Recipient sharing about her life and a portion of a Primitive Baptist Hymn; a 1976 interview with Alan Jabbour (1942-2017) of the American Folklife Center; a 2009 interview with fiddler Elmer Rich (1919-2015); and a 2009 interview with Buddy Griffin (1948-2025) the 2011 Vandalia Award Recipient.

The music from this episode, with the exception of Ginny's singing which was recorded at the time of her interview, comes from past performances at the Vandalia Gathering--2009 for Elmer Rich and 1987 for Buddy Griffin.
