The West Virginia Uniform Controlled Substance Act had not been updated for 6 years, despite efforts by the West Virginia State Police Association, West Virginia Deputy Sheriffs' Association, and various healthcare associations.
Iron Arch was successfully able to organize a coalition of lawmakers to ensure a desperately needed update to the scheduling list passed through the West Virginia Legislature. This added norfentanyl, xylazine, and other dangerous drugs marketed toward children as Schedule I controlled substances.
