Expanded Learning Kaleidoscope

Our students at Oakland had an incredible opportunity to learn from two inspiring literacy leaders!

We were joined by Dr. Britnie Delinger Kane, Associate Professor, Director of the Center for Literacy Excellence, and Program Coordinator for Literacy, who shared her passion for helping students become confident readers and lifelong learners.

Students also enjoyed a special visit from Jonathan Miller, author of The Adventures of Sammy the Wonder Dachshund, who brought his stories to life and encouraged students to discover the joy of reading and writing.

Experiences like these help spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of literacy. 📚✨
