🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, courage, and the enduring spirit of the United States of America.

From the brave patriots who fought for our independence in 1776 to the generations of servicemen and women who have defended our nation ever since, we honor those whose sacrifices have preserved the liberties we enjoy today.

As we commemorate this historic milestone, let us reflect on our shared heritage, remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, and express our gratitude to all who have worn the uniform.

On behalf of Geauga County Veterans Services, we wish everyone a safe, meaningful, and patriotic Independence Day.

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

“May we never forget that freedom is not free.”

When Fireworks Don’t Feel Like Freedom: PTSD Awareness and Coping During Independence Day | VA Jackson health care | Veterans Affairs For many Americans, the Fourth of July is a time for celebration—cookouts, fireworks, and a shared sense of national pride. But for some Veterans living with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), this patriotic holiday can be filled with distress, not delight.

As the high temperatures continue this week, have a plan in place to stay safe and cool. Our community partners have facilities available for those in need. Some hours may vary due to the holiday weekend (Geauga County Public Libraries will be closed Saturday, July 4th). When in doubt, verify before you go.

Rest easy brother. 🇺🇸❤️

Today, we honor and remember U.S. Marine Sgt. Wolfgang “Kyle” Weninger, a Geauga County native who proudly served with the Marine Forces Special Operations Command.
Kyle’s courage, dedication, and sacrifice for our nation will never be forgotten. We continue to keep his family, friends, and fellow Marines in our thoughts today and always. 🇺🇸❤️

🇺🇸 Happy 251st Birthday, United States Army! 🇺🇸

On June 14, 1775, the Continental Congress established the United States Army, making it the oldest branch of our nation’s military.

For 251 years, Soldiers have answered the call to defend freedom, protect our nation, and serve with honor, courage, and selfless dedication. From the battlefields of the Revolutionary War to today’s missions around the globe, the Army’s legacy is built upon the sacrifices and commitment of generations of Americans.

Today, we honor all who have worn the Army uniform—past and present—and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

🎂 Happy Birthday, U.S. Army!

“This We’ll Defend.”
