Hundreds of rubber ducks will race down the Occoquan River during the annual Duck Splash fundraiser today. 🦆

Participants can sponsor a duck for $5 and watch as nearly 1,000 ducks compete for prizes, including a $500 grand prize for first place.

The event takes place during Occoquan's RiverFest & Craft Show.

A new virtual reality experience coming to Washington, DC, will allow visitors to explore the cosmos without ever leaving Earth.

Developed with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, the immersive exhibit lets guests experience distant galaxies, black holes, solar flares, and other astronomical phenomena using data collected by powerful telescopes and space missions.
