🎉 The Prairie State Road Runners celebrated our 50th year of running and community at our annual awards banquet in January! Thank you to our members for another great year, and congratulations on all your accomplishments — including the 90+ members who earned the 2025 Circuit Award!

A big thank you to the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet for the wonderful venue and food, and to Red’s Threads and Safety in Minooka for making our circuit awards.

The Prairie State Road Runners kicked off our 2026 circuit yesterday at The Frozen Gnome! We went off road for this trail 10k that was more muddy than frozen this year, and we had 30 members conquer the hilly technical terrain 🙌!
We’ll return to the roads for the rest of the year with 23 circuit races still remaining ranging in distance from 1 mile to half marathon.
Still plenty of time to join and plenty of circuit races left! Members who receive 7 circuit credits will earn a circuit award and are eligible for challenge and achievement awards.
Whether you’re working towards your first 5k or thinking about trying ultra running, you’ll find a fun, supportive, and active community in Prairie State Road Runners.
