Acne

The Sciton BBL uses 420 nm blue light filters to cause effects similar to the ClearLight™ and BLU-U® for the treatment of acne. The wavelength of light for blue light systems is usually in the range of about 420 nm of light. Pulsed light can be used if there are “filters” which work in that spectrum of light, specifically in the blue light range, although many have also shown that other pulsed light filters, with slightly higher wavelengths of light, also can have a positive, beneficial effect on acne.
