She earned Doctor of Education in ECE in 2022 focusing her dissertation on “Family Childcare Providers’ Perspectives on Participating in Quality Improvement Using National Association for Family Child Care Accreditation”. Dr. Muhs is the published author of “Family Engagement in Early Childhood Programs Quick Guide”

Theme of the Week: Mindfulness for Early Educators
Now that the "school year" is well underway and with an extremely busy time of year ahead of us, taking time to enjoy your job as an early educator takes a back seat to meeting standards, answering questions, paperwork, and managing many individual behaviors! Do you even take a moment to stop and realize the special importance of you in the lives of the young children in your program? Do you breathe before you act or react? This resource from ZERO TO THREE is short and sweet- reminding us to STOP when feeling overwhelmed, stressed in order to refocus and be intentional.
