DENNIS WAYNE BARNES
Dennis Wayne Barnes, 65, passed away on June 11, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to Dwight Lee Barnes and Wilma Dean Barnes.
Dennis was a good man who believed in hard work, taking care of his family, and being there when someone needed a helping hand. A retired boilermaker, he spent many years working hard to provide for those he loved, and that strong work ethic stayed with him throughout his life. When he wasn't working, Dennis enjoyed the simple things. He loved fishing and hunting whenever he had the chance. He thought a good day could be spent with his dogs by his side, a cup of coffee in his hand, and good friends gathered around sharing stories and laughter. More than anything, Dennis loved his family. They were the center of his world and his greatest source of pride and joy. He treasured every moment spent with them and worked hard to make sure they knew they were loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Lee Barnes, as well as his sisters, Brenda Cobb and Linda Barnes.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lori Barnes; children, Justin Barnes, Joshua Barnes, and Jordan (Katie) Barnes; sisters, Glenda Stephens and Debra Thompson; mother, Wilma Barnes; grandchildren, Juy and Ana Arnett, and Jace and Jonah Barnes; great-grandchildren, Jatavion Bruton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Care entrusted to Cardinal Cremation Society.

BONNIE EARL RUSSELL DIVINE
Bonnie Earl Russell Divine, born May 26, 1950, passed away on June 10, 2026, just a little over three years after the loss of her beloved husband of more than fifty years, Steve Divine. Their lives were so deeply intertwined that even after his passing, his presence remained a steady companion in her heart.
She was a devoted stayathome mother to her three children — Michael (Mike) Divine, Kathryn (Kathy) Divine Lanter, and Matthew (Matt) Divine — raising them with warmth, humor, and a steady presence that shaped their lives. As her children grew, Bonnie stepped into the working world with the same quiet determination she brought to motherhood, spending time in a garden shop, a photography lab, a rug store, and even a daycare. No matter the job, she carried kindness with her.
Bonnie is survived by her children and their families: • Michael Divine and wife Lyn, and their children Tyler, Austin, Charles, and Sophia • Tyler and wife Allison, and their children Braiden, Jaxton, Charisma, and Zoey • Austin and his son Silas
• Kathryn (Kathy) Divine Lanter and husband Dino, and their children Hannah, Garrett, and Lily • Hannah and husband Logan, and their children Tinley and Hagan • Garrett and his wife Alyssa
• Matthew Divine and wife Christinea, and their children Caitlynn, Kindell, and Michael • Caitlynn and her son River
Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love. Those who knew her will carry her lessons forward: welcome everyone, love deeply, and show up for the people who need you.
Thank you to all the friends and family who have reached out with their thoughts, prayers, and love. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled later — but if you know, you know… Divine Reunion 2027. www.johnsonsfuneralhome.com
