Saddle stool fit isn't about your height.
It's three independent variables most clinicians have never had explained to them:
→ Cylinder height tracks with femur length. Your thigh length determines whether your feet plant on the floor.
→ Seat pan width tracks with pelvic dimensions and hip flexibility. Narrow pelvis or tight hips? You need a narrow pan. Wider pelvis or limited rotation? Wider pan.
→ Saddle profile tracks with the shape of your contact area against your sit bones.
Most stool companies sell you "small/medium/large" like you're buying a t-shirt. Crown fits the anatomy.
The Western C90SB has a 13" pan — that's a narrow-pelvis chair. It works for many petite clinicians because narrow pelvis and short stature often correlate, but the fit isn't about your height. It's about your hips.
Fit is anatomical. We just say it out loud.
