Solon Fire Department

Solon Fire was called to a two car accident on Algoma Ave. First on scene reports were there were 6 patients making it a level one MCI. With the help of Algoma Fire, Cedar Springs Fire and Sparta patients were quickly assessed and were transported by four Rockford ambulances. The accident is being investigated, expect Algoma Avenue to be close between 16 mile and 17 mile.

Tonight’s training focused on flushing the dry hydrants and completing their annual maintenance. Routine maintenance like this ensures our water supply points are ready to support firefighting operations when they’re needed most. Great work by everyone involved!

Here are the Solon Township Fire Department's May 2026 response statistics.

During the month of May, our dedicated firefighters and EMS personnel responded to 58 total calls for service, including medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, fire-related incidents, and other community assistance calls.

We are proud to serve the residents and visitors of Solon Township 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Whether it's an emergency, severe weather event, fire, accident, or public assistance call, our members stand ready to answer the call.
