🐾 Happy National Rescue Dog Day! 🐾

Today we celebrate the incredible dogs who found their forever homes and the amazing people who gave them a second chance 💕

Rescue dogs may come from difficult pasts, but they bring endless love, loyalty, and gratitude into our lives. Whether they’re big or small, shy or energetic — every rescue has a story worth telling and a heart full of love to give 🐶❤️

One special story we’re celebrating today is Roxy 🐾�Roxy was adopted in 2017 from the Humane Society of West Michigan by a Cedar Animal Hospital staff member. She originally came from Mississippi and was diagnosed with heartworm. She went through treatment and had a really tough journey, but by 2018 she was heartworm-free and healthy 💪❤️
�Now, at 10 years old, she’s thriving and loving life—proof of the resilience and love rescue dogs bring every single day 🐶✨

Last week, our team participated in an in-clinic training focused on proper restraint techniques. Even though our staff is highly experienced and knowledgeable, we believe there is always room to grow and improve.

Continuing education like this helps ensure the safety and comfort of both our patients and our team—whether they have fur, scales, or anything in between! 🐶🐍🦎
