Hello everyone, this month is BIG for Spirit Awake— We are playing Solon’s BEEF DAYS (Saturday, July 19th, 11am-1pm) This is big for us because two of our members (Ian Landuyt and Patrick Seaton) are Solon High School Alumni! Having grown up seeing dad rock bands (and more) play at their hometown’s festival, it’s a big honor to play the stage they once looked up to. Catch us there July 19th right after the parade on the main stage! ALSO, enjoy the embarrassing pictures of Ian and Patrick from high school.

It’s been two weeks now since the release of “Change” and the positive responses have been overwhelming! We thank you! If you haven’t listened to it yet, shame on you.

We are officially 1 WEEK AWAY from our Sophomore album titled, “Change”. Change is hard, it’s uncomfortable, and unfortunately, it’s also inevitable. Ian, Jacob, Patrick & I over the last several months have attempted to overcome the concept of change. Spirit Awake has struggled with the growing pains of not only finding, but adding a fourth member. The constant of change had also brought forth the challenges of people simply growing up. Opinions sometimes differed. Our social circles started to collide. Old relationships faded, but new relationships started to bloom. We welcomed life into the world, but also faced death. The results of this record is concrete proof that we, Spirit Awake, overcame change.
