Pathways for Sustainable Community Development

Yay! Our first shipment of books left Austin today. We are sending them by the sea - it will take almost two months for the books to make it to Karachi. The second stop will be Islamabad. We have picked Shimshal valley as part of the first round of distributing these books. Shimshal is one of the most remote areas in Hunza. It lies at an altitude of 3,100 m above sea level and is the highest settlement in the district. Although it is going to take some time, let’s hope and pray that these books make it to the right people without any interruption.

Thank you so much for the overwhelming response to our Book Drive. We have collected over 600 books and counting. This is beyond what we expected! Initially, we had set aside some out of pocket funds to put towards the shipment payment. However, with the amazing contributions from you all, the costs are beyond our allocated budget. We would love any support in helping us sending these books! Any support would be greatly appreciated and would allow us to meet our timeline
