Scott McNulty, iconic builder of several structures in Cedar Key, would be very proud of his sons, Christan and Orion, for the exceptional work they are doing in restoring the old Frog’s Landing/Steamers restaurant their father built using post-and-beam construction methods.

We are sure Dad is smiling down from above 😇.

Yet Cedar Key City officials and commissioners want everything that makes Cedar Key historic or unique knocked down … including the iconic Steamers Building on Dock Street and the old L&M buildings on Second Street. Make your voices heard with your commissioners! If they make Cedar Key look like the rest of FL, all of its charm will be lost. GET INVOLVED because decisions are being made without community input! Call City Hall and go to the meetings. Make sure you know where funds are being spent. We need to support our local businesses to get back open, not spend $750,000 in grant monies on “studies”.

There’s a meeting tomorrow night at 5:30 pm at City Hall to discuss issues with the city building department. Make your complaints known.
