This week at @palette.bakery we are working on an adorable bathroom redesign! Once upon a time in Paris, my husband and I stayed in a beautiful apartment in Le Marais. We stumbled on a cafe that had my heart immediately…La Favorite. We ate breakfast there every morning and I will never drink hot cocoa so divine ever again!!! I took my daughters to Paris a few years later and La Favorite was as magical as I’d remembered it. The black and white design, walls covered in subway tile, gold accents, worn and weathered wood table tops, cafe seating outside…it just doesn’t get better. I’m leaning on a La Favorite vibe for Palette Bakery as a whole but I’m definitely going all out in the bathroom. What a beautiful sight to see. The sunset shining through our newly erected walls brought me really close to tears this evening. Tell me I’m not the only one with an unhealthy obsession with steel doors!?!? Like…seriously unhealthy! Specifically black, slim, sexy, arched steel doors! I have drooled and dreamed of them long before Nate and Jeremiah (whom should be my bff’s) made them universally loved. I have spent countless hours trying to find a way OWN THEM without spending 3 million dollars. Alas, YouTube failed to teach my husband how to make them for me. He put his foot down and refuses to even consider trying. Sigh, what’s a girl in love with steel doors to do?! Well this girl just went ahead and ordered her dream doors from @pinkysirondoors today. Meet Persephone! I needed the perfect vessel to house this glorious String of Beads that I purchased (dead), in the clearance section of Lowes. I nursed her back to health and she was ready to be transplanted. @tjmaxx for the win because how perfect is this planter?! My kids and I have a fascination with Greek and Roman Gods so of course we had to find the perfect Goddess name for our little beauty. Todays stories coming at you from the @stgeorgeparadeofhomes! Just a few of my favorite clips. We spent 6 hours and only toured 1/4 of the homes available. We were seriously impressed by a few of them! For two extremely picky designer/builders that’s saying something. Loved this pantry/laundry in the “Manor of Happiness” home. It was hands down my favorite home, filled with incredible French manor vibes…which is my jam! I’m already planning for the black and white diamond tile in a few spots in our new home. I also have a similar setup for my pantry/laundry combo with a sink and window at the back!Builder is @rlwymandesigncreate and I basically fan girl gushed all over him on my way out of the Manor of Happiness! My husband was slightly embarrassed😂.
