“What was it like in the 90’s at CSVFD?”
🚒 Wagon and Engine 3 had open, rear facing seats
🚒 Ladder 3 was an American La France Tractor-Drawn Aerial
🚒 Rotator Lightbars instead of LEDs
🚒 Diesel for apparatus was $0.89

A lot has changed since the 1990s at the Cave Spring Firehouse, but what has remained the same is our departments commitment to better serve our community and those around it.

Today we recognize firefighters for their extraordinary commitment, exceptional courage and for their selfless service. Tragically, we also remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
To every firefighter and those that support them across the world, no matter what country, what uniform you wear, or if paid or volunteer:
You help and protect us without wanting recognition or reward. When other people are running away, you are there.
Today on International Firefighters’ Day, we say THANK YOU.
