This Sunday, immediately following our morning service, we will be having a Thanksgiving lunch in the Fellowship Room. We would like for you to join the Harvest Baptist Church family as we come together to give thanks to God for all that he has done.

Thanksgiving was first celebrated by the Pilgrims and Indians at Plymouth. The Pilgrims were giving thanks to God for a bountiful harvest and asked the Indians to celebrate with them. The Pilgrims practiced unity in God by inviting the Indians and fellowshipping with them. Thanksgiving today has lost some of the original intent, but many families gather to reflect and give thanks for all that has gone on during the past year.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day in 2016, we would like for you to join us this Sunday for a message about the resurrection of Jesus. We have a lot to be thankful for, but the resurrection of Jesus is the most important thing we should be thankful for. Without his resurrection we wouldn't have life as we know it.
