I checked her and checked her before I gave up and went to bed....wee hours of the morning were when she decided was a good time to do this! What a special Monday Surprise! 2 damp little girls!

A little comparison and show and tell this morning for you! Notice the color differences in the yolkes? My hens are all encouraged to forage for bugs and seeds and grasses and as a result have nice orange yolks full of healthy omegas and vitamins! Normally the duck yolks are orange as well but they have been on modified "house arrest" (because they were laying eggs in the neighbor's yard) so they have been doing less foraging. Still a happy healthy breakfast for this farm girl!
