Men's League was able to navigate between rains that would have made Noah wonder what was coming, to get in week 5 of league. The course was in good shape for what it has endured. Here were the results:
Team Stoutin .5
Sparks Autocare 1.5
--Team Stoutin had a lot of their roster on vacation this week but brought Curtis "Wood" Carver out of hibernation to play. He had the very tall task of facing Derek "Leather" Belt who never gives an inch. This match was tied until the final hole when Carver's bogey on that hole sunk him like a battleship in war. Dave Davis and John Murphy traded blows in the other match and after the dust settled wound up in a tie.

The B-D matchups took place here and these two powerhouse teams split. "Hot" Rod Sparks continued his stellar play of late with a convincing win over rising star "Stonewall" Jackson Maulding. Maulding is in the running for newcomer of the year but Sparks wanted to show him the old guard was still formidable. Glen "Iceman" Isley has been on a tear of late and that continued with a win in a back-and-forth match against Spark's Tony Madlem.

Hometown Butcher Shop .5
--Snedeker means business when they bring "Coach" Vidoni out to kick rear and take names. He had one of his former players and good golfer to contend with this week in Ron Snyder and it's fitting that these two ended the evening all square. Rick Hacker (great golf name) did everything but hack with a beautiful round in shooting a net 34 and squeezing past Randy "Thurman" Munson.

Bolin Enterprises 2
--Those who know golf have been sounding the alarm to the other league teams that Bolin Enterprises was no pushover. Some of these teams are now finding out the hard way. Dalton "Pebble" Brooke scorched the course for a net 31 but that was eclipsed by his playing partner John Whitacre who set a multi-year low for net scores with a 25. His opponent Chad Erickson, who played well in his own right, may still be out on the course in a state of shock.

Darad Inc 1
--Bolin was looking for the sweep in the A-C matchups but that didn't happen as Ethan "Ex" Hale's game continued on a heater. Hale has had multiple net rounds in the high 20's. The good news is he's winning. The bad news is his handicap is sinking faster than my tech stock portfolio of late. Team captain Mike "Bo" Bohannon was the stabilizing influence his team needed after a rough start and it's showing. His net 32 helped cement the extra low net point this week, giving Bolin's the only 4 point week in the league.
Darad Inc 1
Markwell Funeral Home 1
--Another split decision here with "Mean" Dean Blievernicht coming through against Billy "Belt" Sanders. "Saving Private" Ryan Richards hit a rough patch this week after his stellar performance the week prior to fall to Jeremy "Jimmy" Hendrix.

BP Coins 1
--This was the tightest foursome out there this week as both matches finished in a tie. Dalton Hendrix and Brad "Valet" Parker, both sporting very low handicaps, finished with a gross 37 and 39 respectively. This would have been a fun match to watch. Colin "Curly" Neal and Randy Austin "Powers" also tied as both shot respectable net 37's.

New Heights Crane Service 1
--This group featured brother against brother for family bragging rights and at least on this night, Landry Huisinga got the title over Trey "T-Bone" Huisinga. It took a 34 (net 31) to do it but barring another matchup later this year, family get-togethers will be very tough on T-Bone. Cody Hollensbe, another newcomer who looks like "Rookie of the Year" material, has been a great addition to BP as he got past Kieffer "Orange" Julius.
New Heights Crane Service 0
Team Stoutin 2
--New Heights had a tall task here. This was the only crossover match of the week so the A-C New Heights players had to take the B-D players from Team Stoutin. Avery "Audie" Murphy played good friend Zac "Attack" Richardson in match one but with a scorcher of a score by Zac (net 29) he didn't have enough on this night. This despite Murphy shooting a gross 35 (net 32). Carson Hall "Pass" had to give 13 strokes in match two and Chase "Respect your" Elder came up big in his debut for Stoutin.
