Motorized Vehicles on Trails, Sidewalks, and Multi-Use Paths

With warmer weather here, activity on Carmel's trails and paths are increasing -- and so are complaints about motorized vehicles in these areas.

Per City Code LO 6-63, it is unlawful to operate, drive, park, or leave any motorized vehicle ( 🚫 including electric scooters, unicycles, skateboards, mopeds, mini bikes, and dirt bikes) on sidewalks, multi-use paths, or bike lanes.

Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation has adopted the same restrictions for all parks, trails, and greenways. Yes, that includes the Monon!

Lets keep Carmel's path systems safe and accessible for everyone.
