So this happened just before Christmas. A full bathroom remodel for my nephews.... and my sister and Ric! :) Design concept is modern farmhouse driven first by the porcelain floor for a vintage look while the glass subway tile in the shower modernizes the bathroom. Shiplap installed on the ceiling was a game changer! We eliminated the door swing and installed a barn door. The reclaimed wood vanity with a carrara marble countertop by Pottery Barn completes the look. Before and After pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Welcome to my hotel project on Shelter Island at the Bay Club Hotel and Marina! I worked with a very conservative $1 million budget to design and project manage 106 guest rooms as well as leaving $250k of the $1m budget for the lobby, restaurant and bar design. The hotel has not had an update in 30 years and it was time to update the Polynesian décor. It was quite a journey to get the project off the ground. To get there, I presented a PointPoint proposal to strategize for a contemporary design with a nod to nautical concept. My team of contractors were present for a Q & A to answer all concerns as I presented the project objectives for the $1m budget and production schedule. I also presented 3D renderings showing solution based objectives to include structural changes to maximize views on both sides of the bar and increase seating. Since then, the bar revenue has spiked 50% ! The owners also toured a mock guest room showcasing the new design with an emphasis on vinyl planking to replace carpet which was a big complaint on Yelp reviews. Upon completion of the re-model, Yelp reviews have greatly improved, a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence was attained and an excellent Triple A rating established!

Highlights of 2018 starting with bathroom remodel in Point Loma! Complete bathroom remodel with custom barn door to remove traditional door swing which allows space for dual vanity sink. Game changer! This floating vanity is a custom design with chrome bars for pull out drawers and attached shelving with a pull out laundry drawer at the bottom. Custom cut mirror with rounded corners which is flanked by light sconces by Restoration Hardware. Towel bars are clear Lucite for contemporary aesthetic. White and gray flat marble pebble on the shower floor feels so good on the feet with quartz wall slabs meaning no grout lines! The porcelain floor tile is in a calacatta marble pattern. This is one happy family!
