Provide structured literacy dyslexia interventions from one or more of a variety of approaches depending the individual needs of the learner:
- Structured Word Inquiry (a morphological phonology/morphological structured literacy approach)
- Reading Simplified (a “speech-to-print” or linguistic phonics/structured linguistic literacy approach)
- Barton Reading and Spelling Program (an Orton Gillingham “OG” approach)
- UFLI Foundations (an evidence-based structured literacy approach developed at the University of Florida Literacy Institute)
Provide handwriting interventions using the Chancery Script approach or Handwriting Without Tears
Provide written expression interventions to support dysgraphic learners from the level of grammar and syntax through to multi-page expository essays, primarily using the Hochman Method/The Writing Revolution approach
Provide math interventions targeted at underlying neurodevelopmental skills including number sense, subitization, visual-spatial thinking, and alternative teaching approaches and compensatory strategies for students who struggle with rote memorization of math facts and math facts fluency
Provide executive function skills training and support to neurodivergent learners
Standardized and observation-based assessments of learning and attention differences in the area of phonemic awarenesss, phonological processing, orthographic processing, oral reading fluency, handwriting, mathematics processing and computational skills, fine and gross motor skills and coordination, posture, joint and positioning challenges, executive functioning and sensory processing (as I am not a neuropsychologist or an educational psychologist, I cannot perform IEEs nor should my assessments be construed as being equivalent to an IEE from a special education legal standpoint.
