I recently gave a talk at A Spiritual Center in Carbondale, Colorado about the astrological energy of 2025 and beyond.

The outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) and Saturn are all changing signs in 2025. This will bring a slow, but profound, change in the United States, and even the world.

It is my belief that even though we are in a time of chaos and mind blowing reversals, we are progressing toward a more compassionate, inclusive time. History does repeat itself to a certain degree, but we can do our small part to bring about the world we want to live in.

There is no doubt in my mind that the year 2024 has been uncommonly challenging for many people. I will shed some light on the astrological energy behind the 2024 upsets and talk about the cosmic challenges and rewards of the current and future planetary energy in year 2025 and beyond.

The unknowns of Neptune, the sudden events of Uranus and the strong, powerful transformative energy of Pluto all come together in the cosmic stew in 2025. Next year brings the funneling of the outer planets and the nodes out of earth and water into the air/fire realm. While Neptune and Saturn at zero-point Aries start a new decade of imagination versus limitation, and spirituality and trust versus depression and control.

I haven't posted on my Astrology-Classescom page for a long time. Now that the summer is winding down, I hope to have a little more time to connect. Here is an excerpt from my August newsletter regarding the current planetary energy. The transits will be especially meaningful to you if they make contact with any of your natal planets.

With the sign of Leo in focus and the planets Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus all active and making connections with each other, it is certainly not a boring time. It's a great time to take action and to make progress.

However, caution is advised. Mars can bring accidents and lots of anger, especially since Uranus is also active. Jupiter can bring big breakthroughs, but also over confidence and unrealistic expectations. Saturn tames Mars and Jupiter but can magnify any feelings of limitation or self doubt. Of course, Uranus is the wild card. It brings breakthroughs, but also breakdowns. These energies will be especially strong at the full Moon on August 19.

Expect the unexpected.

August 14: Mercury Enters Leo. Mars Conjunct Jupiter at 16 Degrees Gemini. Mercury in Leo brings clear thoughts with a touch of fun and optimism. Mars conjunct Jupiter in Gemini amps up your decision making ability. Both Mercury in Leo and Mars conjunct Jupiter benefit negotiations and bring the ability to settle disputes. The caveat is that you might be feeling extra rebellious toward authority figures. This is not the time to confront authority figures. Mars in Gemini can mean “angry words” and Mercury in Leo can make you indiscrete in what you say.

August 16: Mars Square Saturn at 17 Degrees Gemini/Pisces. Mars square Saturn is much different than Mars conjunct Jupiter on August 14. Saturn dampens the mood and points out our limitations and restrictions. Mars in stressful aspect to Saturn can cause you to lash out at others rather than trying to work out a solution. In addition, Saturn in Pisces adds a certain amount of fogginess and uncertainty to issues. Tread carefully.

August 18: Sun Conjunct Mercury Square Uranus at 27 Degrees Leo/Taurus. Anything goes when the Sun and Mercury are conjunct and square Uranus. The Sun conjunct Mercury makes you more talkative. Sun and Mercury square Uranus brings sudden insights and brilliant ideas can pop up out of the blue (Mercury and Uranus). Unpredictable Uranus is strong all month. Uranus transits urge you to go-with-the flow as surprises are the norm.

I will be teaching an eight-week astrology class beginning Wednesday, January 24 through March 13, 2024, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Mountain Standard Time.

This class is for total newbies, and for those who know some astrology, but have a hard time putting it all together.

We will start with the basics including:

What is a Zodiac chart?
What are the houses and what do they mean?
How do the signs express in the houses and what do the signs mean?
What do the planets do and what do they mean in a chart?
What are planetary transits and how do they affect you?

By the end of the class, you will be able to read and understand your birth chart and to have a basic understanding of how transits affect you.

The last 30 minutes of each class will be devoted to looking at your individual astrology charts and to answering your astrological questions. Since I firmly believe that you learn best by doing, all students will be expected to participate in delineating each other’s charts.

I need at least six people to sign up for the class, so tell all your friends and relatives. The more people there are the more we learn from each other.
