EMCO announces the qualification of the Egyptian consortium signed between “EMCO Engineering – AMARENCO/SOLARIZEgypt - REDCON Construction & DESALTEgypt“, for the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (SFE) National Desalination Program, with the assistance of the Ministry of Finance the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Central Unit.

As a result of EMCO Management efforts following new strategy to expand business in finding new markets, and in adapting to the global economic situation keeping up with the technology improvement and the strategic research of business development, EMCO has developed this by creating safe conditions working in promising new markets, especially within it scope of work.

EMCO Engineering Chairman and CEO Eng. Salim Shalhoub said, “We are proud to be part of this consortium of very specialized companies. We look forward to deploying the experience. that EMCO has amassed worldwide in the past five decades alongside our partners towards contributing to Egypt’s future health and sustainability.”

EMCO was awarded a USAID-funded contract to build a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility in the rural village of Bchaale in Lebanon to serve a population of 2,000 people. The plant is equipped with the latest treatment processes, technologies, and automated monitoring systems intended to most efficiently turn more than 100,000 m3/year of polluted wastewater into environmentally friendly water for safe discharge or irrigation.

EMCO is proud to be part of this vital project that will serve to mitigate the health risks of cholera and other wastewater-borne diseases in Lebanon, help protect the community, and serve to provide a model ecological village like Bchaale with vital clean and safe treated effluent water.
