Canton residents are not picking up after their dogs. Canton dogs produce 400,000 pounds of dog waste per year (!) This washes directly into the storms drains and into our streams and ponds. It is loaded with bacteria and nutrients that pollute our water. This is no joke. Pick up pet waste and dispose of it properly in the trash at home. 03/16/2026

1,500 registered dogs in 10,000 households in Canton 3/4 pound of p**p per dog is over 400,000 pounds of dog p**p per year - with much not picked up and properly disposed of this is washing right into our brooks and ponds causing pollution.
