Our own Ms Mary Bennett keeps busy volunteering for our community! In particular, our homeless Veterans. THANK YOU, MARY! From the Cherokee Tribune on Feb 2:
"A team of volunteers took supplies to a homeless camp Friday morning to help prepare them for the cold weather over the weekend. From left to right: Rich Little — Marine Corps, American Legion Post 45; Cheryl Dana — Auxiliary, American Legion Post 45; Mary Bennett — Auxiliary, American Legion Post 45/DAR; and Josh Lear — Marine Corps, American Legion Post 45/deputy director of the Cherokee County Homeless Veteran program. They were joined by Cherokee County Homeless Veteran Program Director Jim Lindenmayer."
