We're proud to announce that Foothill Flight Center has been accredited by the UPRT Network!

The UPRT Network is leading the effort to raise the standard for Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) in general aviation. By identifying, promoting, and maintaining best practices, the Network is building a community of accredited providers dedicated to delivering professional, standardized, and effective UPRT that makes pilots safer.

What makes this especially meaningful to us is that we began this journey with no prior UPRT experience. Every step of our development—from our first introduction to UPRT, through our instructor training and mentorship, to earning accreditation—took place entirely within the UPRT Network under the guidance of its accredited providers.

We encourage every pilot, instructor, and flight school to learn more about the UPRT Network and the important work it is doing to advance UPRT throughout general aviation.

We’re excited to launch the CFI Spin Proficiency Initiative in partnership with the Ellsworth Hovey Getchell Foundation to help improve aviation safety and instructor proficiency throughout Northern California. For just $100, active CFIs receive ground instruction, flight training, spin proficiency training, and flight review credit — a program valued at over $400.
