Get hyped: Registration for MIT Battlecode 2020 is now open at https://battlecode.org!
Join MIT’s premier artificial intelligence programming competition this IAP! $30k in prize money to be won, and no experience needed!
Battlecode is a real-time strategy game in Java, and it’s a great opportunity to have fun, rapidly develop important software skills, and learn and practice game AI, pathfinding and distributed algorithms.
No experience needed! Lectures are held for the first two weeks of IAP and we'll walk you through the basics and also more advanced techniques. Compete in teams of one to four for a share of the $30k prize pool — and our Newbie Tournament has prizes for MIT students who've never done Battlecode before!
Hungry for more info? Come to our information session at 3-270 on 12/3 at 7pm — food will be provided! We’ll be revealing this year’s game on January 6; the Final Tournament will be on February 1.
