RECAP Workshop: Service Design in An Uncertain World
Services saturate our daily lives—yet we rarely pause to question their origins. In this energizing morning workshop, Other Tomorrows explored service design’s role in our uncertain world. We traced its roots, examined its current impacts, and discovered how to design services more intentionally—minimizing harm while amplifying the positive effects on people and society.

In our second panel, Re-alize, we delved into the ways design can challenge existing biases in our built environment, policies, and technologies. Our esteemed panelists—Joseph Coughlin , Lindsay Harkema , Sami Sikanas, and Damon Rich shared insights on creating more inclusive and just design practices. The discussion was skillfully moderated by Mariana Alegre , a Harvard GSD Loeb Fellow.
