Low back pain with “uneven hips”? Your quadratus lumborum, or QL, might be part of the problem.

The QL is a deep muscle on each side of your low back that helps stabilize your spine and pelvis. When one side gets tight, it can pull the hip upward, create a feeling of imbalance, and contribute to one-sided low back pain.

A gentle QL stretch can help:
✅ Reduce tension in the low back
✅ Improve side-to-side mobility
✅ Ease that “hiked hip” feeling
✅ Support better posture and movement

Try this stretch slowly, breathe into the side of your low back, and avoid forcing it. You should feel a comfortable stretch—not sharp pain.
