We recently finished our spring 2026 Breaking Bread series, a collection of conversations exploring farming, organizing and resistance. If you missed a session—or want to revisit a favorite topic—the recordings are available on our website. www.farmaid.org/breakingbread

This season covered a wide range of issues from Black farmers' fight for justice at the USDA to the role social movements play in shaping culture. We also explored climate-resilient farming and economic equity for rural Black farmers and concluded with a conversation about farmer mental health in the wake of climate disasters. Happy Fourth of July from Farm Aid! Today we mark the 250th birthday of the U.S. and celebrate all the farmers who have fed their communities and cared for our land, water and soil since 1776 along with the indigenous farmers doing the same long before.
