Pancakesgiving was a huge success! This event gives us time to be grateful for what God has given us while also spending time together and providing an outreach opportunity to our fellow students! Thank you to all who made this event a success!

Born in Lima, Peru in 1579, St. Martin de Porres, was the son of a Spanish gentleman and a freed slave. In his youth, he experienced poverty and discrimination, but clung to his deep love for God. He worked as a barber-surgeon, cutting hair and administering medical treatments.

He joined the Dominican order as a lay brother, caring for people from all walks of life. He founded an orphanage and was known for his humility, charity, and compassion.

During November, the Catholic Church celebrates National Black Catholic History month. Saint Martin de Porres is a wonderful example for us to emulate this month and always
