Who Owns the Airwaves? Know your Rights to WiFi 02/02/2026

Who owns the airwaves? Who decides which Wi-Fi networks are allowed and which aren’t? According to the FCC, you do. So does your neighbor. So does every individual and corporation in the U.S. That doesn’t stop some people from trying to say otherwise—or from bullying others into shutting down perfectly legal personal Wi-Fi devices.

At Trade Show Internet, we’ve been fighting for your Wi-Fi rights for over 10 years. Read our latest blog post to learn how FCC rules protect your right to broadcast Wi-Fi so you can protect yourself too.

This year at Fest Forums, where the top minds in the festival world gathered to share insights, network, and plan the future of live events, Trade Show Internet made sure everyone stayed connected.

Our onsite team built out a custom network across two buildings for both attendees and production staff. The attendee network featured a custom splash page which added a professional touch for event branding and sponsor recognition while collecting contacts. For staff, a dedicated network was set up special for on-stage zoom calls to meet with professionals who could not attend in person.

We know how vital strong internet is to any successful event — and we’re proud to have powered this one.

Need connectivity for your next event? Let’s talk!
