SUD and behavior treatment providers' resources expanded 13 years ago when the ACA mandated treatment to be part of all healthcare insurance policies.

Since then, COVID-19 created a shortage of human resources and an increase in regulatory constraints. In addition, healthcare insurances are facing a dramatic surge in acute cases, requiring premium increases and drastic cuts in coverage and claim payments.

What once was a generous plan has become merely survival financial support for providers.

At BHCEF we believe that additional sources of funding are needed. We strive to help treatment providers and their clients succeed by alleviating some of their financial burden through our grant program.
