Around the farm this morning. Happy Monday! Today is whitewash day. We should do this once a year, but it’s been several. What this means is anything that is nailed down gets taken out of the barn. This has been ongoing this weekend. This morning after the chores are done, anything that can’t be removed gets covered. This includes the pipeline, light bulbs, electrical switches and panels, grain bin augers, exhaust fans, etc. Then everything is reversed after they’re done. We’ve done extra sweeping to remove as much debris and dust as possible. The first thing they do is spray the barn down with high pressure air so everything is as clean as possible before the white wash is applied so the better job we do the better the whitewash job.
