Rolling Rabbit Books

I just want to take a minute to say… we have the BEST customers!! It was such a nice day today of happy kiddos with their gift certificates, summer reading rewards, big purchases, and we even had two generous used book donations! Thank you for showing up, supporting us, and being so kind. I’ve worked seven other customer-facing jobs, but there’s something special about RRB shoppers😉

Is everyone staying cool today?! If not, feel free to come visit us before 6:00! We’ve got the A/C cranking, and I’m perusing some cool books we just got in! The theme is one of my favorites: books about books📚✨

- “Big Ideas From Literature:” This book covers the earliest records of storytelling and inventions leading up to the creation of modern day children’s books, as well as how to use children’s literature to explore our feelings and navigate life. Such an amazing resource!

- “Books That Make Me Curiouser and Curiouser: A Reading Journal for Kids of All Ages:” Where was this when I was a kid?! The journal prompts are so thoughtful and really help kids connect with the books they are reading.

- “Once Upon a Cookbook: A Treasury of Recipes Inspired by Timeless Children’s Books:” This book is the perfect way to immerse yourself in your child’s favorite classic story! It has simple, yummy recipes inspired by books like Little Women, The Velveteen Rabbit, and Winnie-the-Pooh!

- “The Atlas of Imaginary Places:” Again… where was this when I was a kid?! I was always drawing maps to go along with the books I read to help me visualize the story, and I love that it reads as a travel log with “encounters” of famous characters and notes about found objects!
