Montana Tech Mining

Our Women in Mining Student Chapter has been quite busy recently! We had 6 students attend the WiM USA Conference in Tucson, AZ in late April. Here they learned about topics such as: The Future of Innovation, Mental Health in the Workplace, Responsible Mine Design, and so much more! Upon their return, attendees gave brief presentations about their experiences, which sparked excellent discussion about next year’s conference in Billings, MT!

To close out the year and decompress from the finals week cramming, the group gathered together for a beading session led by Butte local Pam Neeley.

We are grateful for the help from industry professionals, the community, and advisor Sonya Rosenthal for keeping our chapter active and thriving!
